MEFAS provides training in first aid and emergency aid (CERT) to the public. MEFAS also offers first aid cover at events ranging from school fetes, local fund raising activities, children's football leagues and assistance to trading charities and commercial operations.  MEFAS provides these services, in the main, to South London Boroughs and North Surrey.

MEFAS is a member of National Voluntary Civil Aid Services (known as Civil Aid), a registered charity.  Both public and Appointed Persons certificates of competence are issued under that organisation's rules and regulations.
