BBC RaW stories
Families who visited the library tent at the BBC RaW storytelling event in Church Square, Scunthorpe on Saturday afternoon (14 June 2008) were invited to work together to build a story using our storytelling template. The stories created by children and families on the day are included here.
Your Stories
One day a pink fairy called Alicia met a knight called Adam and his dog Boney Lemon, on a Tuesday, at a nice wedding party, because they liked parties. The Pink Fairy said, "I want some new hair grips". The knight called Adam said "Make sure there is a fairy on top of the bobble". And then they all went to the shops and got some fairy dust.

One day Lucky the Dog met Stripes the Cat, at dinnertime in the library, because they had arranged to meet each other. Lucky said, "Let's go and look at the animal stories". Stripes said "I'm going to look over here". And then they went home for a cup of tea and cake.

One day a dragon met a doggy on Christmas Day in the woods, because they were going to a party. The dragon said "Let's go to the party!" The doggy said "Woof!" And then they opened their presents and played with their toys.

One day Star met Milly at the pub in Safre in France, because they were on a twinning trip to stay with a family in France. Star said, "Bonjour Madame, how are you?" Milly said "Bonjour Monsieur". And then they went back to Winterton and lived happily ever after.

One day Rosie the chicken met Kimmy the dog on Monday in town, because they went to the beach. Rosie said, "Do you want to go to the circus?" Kimmy said "Yes please". And then they went to the show and they liked it.

One day Talking Carrot met Woof the Dog at 9.15am and 20 seconds, 2 years ago on holiday in a sock, because the dog likes carrots and he didn't want to show anyone. Talking Carrot said, "I'm a talking carrot, tasty too, but you can't catch me!" Woof the Dog said "I'll wait until you run around the world and catch you when you get back, lol". And then the carrot got back and had a lovely imp and dog stew.

One day Reindeer met Christopher, at Christmas in the library, so Christopher could stroke the reindeer and talk to him. Reindeer said, "Are you feeling sleepy". Christopher said "Yes, because I’ve been very busy". And then they rode off together.

One day the Wolfie-Bearie Thingie met Fat Pig Dragony Thingie, at Pensioner Years in outer space where Fat Pig was a balloon, because Fat Pig Dragony Thingie was getting sucked into a toilet with this sloppy brown stuff in. Wolfie-Bearie Thingie said, "Hello". Fat Pig Dragony Thingie said "Hello, please can you help me". And then the Wolfie-Bearie Thingie saved him and they were friends ever after.

And then the dragon ate the children and he ate some toast as well! Then he went away and everyone woke up.

Bobby said "Would you like to have a picnic with me?" Handy said "Oh yes please!" And then they both went to the library and were friends forever.

One day Cat met a donkey, at 12 o'clock at the seaside on a hot, sunny day because they wanted to play on the beach. Cat said "Let's make a sandcastle". Donkey said "Let's swim in the water". And then they all went home to have chocolate cake.

One day Joshua met David Beckham on 17 October at Wembley Stadium because England were playing France in the World Cup final. Joshua said "Wh-Wow it's David Beckham. Can you sign my football boots please?" David Beckham said "Of course I will. Hope you enjoy the match". And then Joshua watched the match and England won 8-0. All 8 were scored by David himself. Right at the end David asked Joshua to come on to the pitch and have his photo taken with him.

Snowie said "Have you got your presents?" And then Father Christmas joins them, gives them their pressies and then takes them for a ride in the sledge high over snow-filled villages. One day the 57-eyed flying thing met Killer Croc at 2pm in the Tropic-Garden to play a game of football on the X-Box Crystal. The 57-eyed flying thing said "Can I eat you? Please say yes, go on". Killer Croc said "No you can't". And then the 57-eyed flying thing ate Killer Croc and the 57-eyed flying thing got terrible tummy ache!
