The Friends have four main aims, namely to protect the Heritage of the Park and to preserve its Natural Character, to promote an awareness of the Park’s Treasures to the public, and encourage Community Use. It also wishes to protect the Park’s environment, by replacing dead and fallen trees; and to encourage the wildlife and protect their habitat.

FoSPA were established in 1950 in response to suggestions that part the Park might be made available for building on. We have a conservation team that performs tasks every fortnight and we have a diary of events including guided walks which are free to the general public.
We are all unpaid volunteers that do it because we love the Park.

Lichfield District Scout Association, comprises the Scout Groups within the Lichfield District Council unitory authority. The Scouts Groups include Beaver 6 to 8 yrs, Cubs 8 to 11 yrs Scouts 11 to 14 yrs and Explorer Scouts 14 to 18yrs.

MEFAS provides training in first aid and emergency aid (CERT) to the public. MEFAS also offers first aid cover at events ranging from school fetes, local fund raising activities, children's football leagues and assistance to trading charities and commercial operations. MEFAS provides these services, in the main, to South London Boroughs and North Surrey.
