We aim to set up a “choir with a difference” in Kingston. It will be for anyone from 18 – 100 who wants to sing rock, pop, contemporary folk and world music. It wouldn’t audition or demand high standards of musical ability before joining and it would be sociable as much as musical, offering a community linked by a common interest in singing popular music.

We hope that the “choir with a difference” will provide company, enjoyment and personal development for people of many different backgrounds: young people, the retired and the unemployed, as well as keen singers. Ideally, we will meet in a time and place that allows for meeting all year round, preferably somewhere people could linger afterwards for a chat over a drink or coffee.
